program Description
Our Workshop for Winds is for beginning wind students.
Our 10-week workshop for 4th grade woodwind and brass players is the perfect place for students who have just started to learn their instruments this past fall to build their chops and get a head start in their music classes! Students in the workshop will receive weekly instruction on building musical technique and learning how to play music in an ensemble!
Our workshop is led by beloved Elemental Band coach and veteran SMMUSD wind coach Emily Senchuk. Our teachers have experience working with multiple levels of band students and understand the musical foundations needed to excel in elementary school music and beyond!

Tuition reduction is available on a sliding scale. Our Tuition Reduction Form is short & sweet. Please submit your form ASAP so we can help determine a family-friendly tuition rate for you and start making music!
ENSEMBLE PLACEMENT
No prior experience is required to join Workshop for Winds, but students should be enrolled in their school band program or private lessons in order to participate. Beginning 4th grade band students are accepted on flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, and saxophone.
