Finding a private music teacher can seem overwhelming - where do you look? How do you know what qualifications to look for? Not every teacher works for every student...so how can you find a teacher who is the right fit for your child?
In this 30 minute virtual workshop led by Dr. Josephine Moerschel, our Executive and Artistic Director, families will learn about the benefits of private music instruction, how to find reputable and inspiring teachers, and more.
Josephine is a prolific music educator who has been on the faculty of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, and the Long Beach City College. She has served as a consultant for the LA Phil Education Department and taught for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified District in a variety of capacities, including as a sectional coach for Santa Monica High School, John Adams Middle School, and Lincoln Middle School.
