We are thrilled to announce our 5th Annual Elemental Music Solo Competition! Every year, we host a solo competition, offering eligible current and former students the opportunity to show off their chops and win a cash prize. There are two divisions to our solo competition.
Musicians must perform on an approved orchestra or band instrument, guitar, or voice. Piano is not an accepted instrument in this competition.
HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION - Open to high school juniors and seniors who are or have been previously enrolled in an Elemental Music program (including Bergmann Program)
First prize: $500
Second prize: $300
Third prize: $200
MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION - Open to current 8th graders who are or have been previously enrolled in an Elemental Music program (including Bergmann Program)
First prize: $250
Second prize: $150
Third prize: $100
All applicants must fill out the following application and upload a video recording of a solo work of your choice to YouTube. The recording should not exceed 8 minutes in length.
PLEASE NOTE: If applicable, piano accompaniment is preferred but not required. Accompaniment tracks are also acceptable.
