Erin Tomita
Erin Tomita, a native of Santa Monica, CA, is a classically trained violinist who enjoys performance and teaching.
She graduated from University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Her education led her to become the musician and teacher she is today.
Erin previously worked in the Lodi Unified School District where she taught orchestra students from 5th–12th grade for three years. Erin currently works in Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District where she teaches elementary strings and general music.
Erin wants to give other students the opportunities she received in her music education. Fun fact: she was a member of the original Elemental Strings group in 2005, which is where she found her love for playing in orchestras and chamber ensembles.
Aside from teaching, she enjoys playing classical music and is currently performing with the Santa Monica Symphony and Chamber Orchestra groups. She also plays Americana music in a band with family and friends.
