Ana Martinez

Ana Martinez is a vocalist currently majoring as an undergraduate in Music Education at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music. From a young age, Ana has loved to sing and perform. She was able to become the musician she is today through public music education, which has inspired her to become a music educator and make quality public music education more widely accessible. In addition to her fellowship at Elemental Music, Ana currently teaches children’s choir weekly as a part of UCLA’s Music Partnership Program.

Prior to her acceptance at UCLA, Ana has sung in Fullerton College’s opera scenes as Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), Cendrillon in Cendrillon (Viardot) and Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert & Sullivan). Ana’s experience as a latina transfer student has deepened her passion to serve marginalized communities through her work as an AVID tutor at over four public schools and nonprofits such as Clear Motivations and The Community Coalition of Santa Monica. During the 2023-2024 school year, Ana volunteered with the Bresee Foundation’s Gang Reduction and Youth Development Program aimed to serve at-risk youth in Central LA. In her free time, Ana enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her family. Ana is honored to be a part of children’s musical journey at Elemental Music.
