Carmen marquez
Carmen Marquez is a Mexican violinist and conductor, arts educator and administrator. Currently, Carmen is an LBGTQ+ Mentee of the Tent Organization in partnership with Sony.
Carmen is an arts advocate residing in Orange County - she believes in promoting equity and diversity in the arts. Most recently, Finalist for the 2021 Sphinx LEAD Fellowship. In addition, to being Instructor and Program Coordinator at Pacific Symphony, she is an active freelance violinist. She has participated in masterclasses with world renowned violinists such as members of the Talich Quartet, Maestro Alvaro de Granda, and James Buswell. Carmen published an analysis of “Manuel Ponce’s Estrellita - A Historical and Performance Practice Guide.” She earned her Master’s in Music degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB under the guidance of Andrea Byers. Her students are active performers and teachers across Southern California.
