Holly Hu

Holly Hu is currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts in oboe performance at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, where she also received her Bachelor of Music. She has had the privilege of studying with Allan Vogel, David Weiss, and Marion Kuszyk while studying at USC. Previously, Holly earned a master’s in oboe performance at Florida State University College of Music. There, she gained ample teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant to Dr. Eric Ohlsson, whom she is very grateful to have studied with.

In addition to her studies, Holly is a freelance oboist and teacher in Southern California. She enjoys teaching and playing both oboe and English horn. She has performed in orchestra, opera, and chamber music ensembles in numerous venues across Europe and the United States.
